Premier League: Man City Reject Man City’s Offer for Raheem Sterling, Lack of Money?

Manchester City reportedly rejected the first offer from Chelsea to sign Raheem Sterling. The Blues offered 25 million euros (Rp390.1 billion) plus several other additions according to the clause.

Raheem Sterling’s future at Man City is believed to be uncertain as it enters the final year of his contract. His position in the first team is also threatened.

He may have to fight hard for a place in The Citizen’s main squad after the arrival of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.

Sterling’s condition attracted the attention of Chelsea who needed a new striker. The Blues are looking for a new striker as they plan to release Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan.

Raheem Sterling is considered suitable for Chelsea’s needs. Man City also opened the door to the opportunity to release him in the summer of 2022.

According to transfer specialist journalist Fabrizio Romano, as quoted by Sportmole, Monday (20/6/2022), Chelsea put Sterling as the main target in the 2022 summer transfer market. They also moved quickly to submit their first offer.

Although the first offer was rejected, Chelsea did not give up hope. According to Romano, the Blues will offer a second offer.

However, it is not yet known how much the second bid will be offered by Chelsea.
