Inter Milan right-back, Denzel Dumfries, has reportedly opened up the opportunity to join Manchester United (MU) in the transfer market this summer.
Dumfries only one season to join Inter Milan. He was brought in by the Nerazzurri last year from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
At that time, Inter Milan only spent 15 million euros to get the Dutch player. Even his inaugural season in the Italian League Serie A was relatively smooth.
Dumfries often gets his share of playing at Inter Milan’s right wing-back position. Unfortunately, he failed to help the Nerazzurri to defend the Scudetto which was eventually won by city rivals, AC Milan.
Denzel Dumfries’ slick appearance with Inter Milan finally caught the attention of the new manager of Manchester United (MU), Erik ten Hag. The Dutch coach is indeed looking for a new right-back at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag is said to be making a big overhaul of the MU squad. One post of which is right-back.
Currently there are two names in the position, namely Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Of the two names, it is widely reported that Wan-Bissaka will be released by MU.
The good news then came for MU. Inter Milan are reportedly ready to release Denzel Dumfries this summer.
The reason is simple, Inter Milan need additional income in the summer of 2022.
Because Inter Milan is said to be in trouble with the Financial Fair Play rules. So like it or not, they have to release some players to overcome this problem.
Now there is additional good news for MU. Denzel Dumfries is reportedly ready to leave for Old Trafford next season.
This news was delivered by the Daily Mail. The report states that Dumfries is ready to leave for Manchester United because the Red Devils are now handled by Erik ten Hag who is also his compatriot.
Inter Milan is also said to have set a price for Dumfries. United only need to spend a minimum of 30 million euros to be able to bring the player to Old Trafford.
